Salzburg

Salzburg was founded based on its proximity to salt mines (the 'Salz"). The old downtown consists of a cresent-shaped town with the river on the inside and cliffs on the outside, with a large castle perched on the cliffs. We were only in Salzburg for a few hours, which was not enough time to see much. I would like to have spent a few days here.
